[ On the evening of the solstice, Kisara will find a black box wrapped in a gold ribbon outside of her tree-residence. Addressed to her in an elegant golden script is her name, as well as the following letter: ]

The future flies with you.

Good tidings on this winter solstice,

[ She will find two items within the box. First, these earrings. Second, a matching necklace.

The gems themselves are as clear as air, the metal polished enough to be a mirror. Geometric in the design, the arrangement and cut of the diamonds may not be immediately obvious. But should she inspect more closely, the delicate pattern mimics that of wings and flight, of feathers folded and smoothed by soaring. ]

[A couple of presents are left addressed to Kisara, with no immediate sign of sender. In one, there's a letter.

Kisara,

I believe once I told you that I have no siblings, no other living family. I would not have thought it before coming to this place, but I imagine that to have a sister must be the way I feel when I am with you. Sometimes I wish to protect you, knowing you do not even need it. Sometimes I think I am overbearing and overprotective, even when my intentions are well and good. I see so much of myself in you and at times, have had to force myself to part from that and to see you as you, for you are Kisara, and I am me. In all of this, have I treasured and cherished you, only failing to say so.

I wish you all of the cheer, all of the joy, the freedoms, the luxuries, and each thing your heart desires. May we find them together, starting with these.
